| This week's MIX 95.1's Rick & Lisa Teacher of the Weeks is Ms. Jeannie Barkman, teacher at Shippensburg Area Senior High School. Ms. Barkman has been a very inspirational person to me, not only as a teacher, but as a person as well. I am the type of person who does not like going to class, but she helped me get my work done, and get it done right as soon as possible so I didn't have to worry about it. She is very good at what she does, and it's not a drag to have to go to her class. She is a very fair person, as well as understanding, does not give inreasonable due dates on work and always there if a student needs help in her, or other classes. She is also a very trustworthy person, always has an open mind about things and willing to do what she can to help. And as I am in votech, working on my cosmetologist license, outside of school, Ms. Barkman often helps me by letting me improve my skills doing her hair and nails, this has helped me alot. She is the nicest, yet fairest, teacher I have ever had! Oh, and it's pretty cool that she was a porcupine for Halloween this year! :) This letter was submitted by Natasha Cover.
