Grandma, Mabel Eunice Griffith
from MIX 95.1's Rick & Lisa Morning Show
Grandma's Family thought you might like to know more about her.

Grandma, Mabel Eunice Griffith, was born in Fort Littleton on November 2, 1908.  She has two children, a son and a daughter.  Her son, Buster, passed away when he was 2 years old.  Her daughter, Alma, of York, PA was born on March 12, 1931.  Grandma has 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Grandma worked at the post office in Fannettsburg for 3 years after she graduated from Metal Township School in 1926.  She also worked at the sewing factory in Fort Loudon, as a cook at Camp Parnell in St. Thomas, and Gillan's orchard in St. Thomas before she worked at Fairchild in Hagerstown, MD for 30 years.  She retired from Fairchild.

Grandma has lived in Fort Littleton and Sharpsburg.  She lived in Fannettsburg most of her life.

Grandma enjoys holidays with family.  We get together at her granddaughter's (who passed away last year, Barbie) home in Greencastle for Thanksgiving where we exchange Christmas presents.  At Easter we get together at her great granddaughter's home in Spring Run.  Memorial Day and Labor Day are other times that the whole family gets together.

Grandma's favorite past times were gardening, mowing, and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.  Recently her favorite channel to watch is CNN.  Grandma loves to gamble and visits the horse races and slot machines in West Virginia often.  Grandma would love to visit Las Vegas.

Grandma is a very loving and caring grandma.  The family enjoys visiting and listening to old stories of Grandma's.  She has lived a very long and great life and plans to continue enjoying her life for more years to come.
