"Shanna Byrd is my daughter, Mady's fabulous 2nd grade teacher at Funkstown Elementary. Mrs. Byrd has an amazing gift of making learning fun, exciting and challenging. Her energy and devotion to these children make them want to learn everything they can and become better people. Her positive, optomistic and sunny personality shines through in everything she does with these children.
My daughter has always loved school, but this year Mrs. Byrd has
helped build my daughter's self confidence so
that she is taking risks and trying things that in the past she
would have said she couldn't do.
