"I have a special needs student who has ADHD and a learning disability. We have struggled for years and fought the school sysytem to get him the help he needs to be successful. This teacher has gone above and beyond for him! She is always willing to sit by him and give him one on one attention to help him get his work completed. She has helped him get and stay organized and help him to keep his grades up. This teacher has seen the potentional in my son and taken him under her wing to help him. He went from hating school in the past to really enjoying school this year. Not only has she helped him tremendously, she has helped us out as a family. I am a single mom with 3 boys, I get no child support and I was up till a month ago a realtor, I was really struggling to keep my head above water to support my kids. She took one week of there dress down friday and bought us grocery gift card, prepaid phone card and even a walmart gift card. She has paid for his school pictures for me so we had school pictures and as if that was not enough, she recommended and gave us a referral to habitiat for humanity to have a home built. Se spoke to the entire school staff and they have all agreed if I can get through the application process the entire school is willing to pitch in and help build our home. I can almost not talk to her without her making me cry, I just never know what she going to do for him or us next! She has been so huge to us, praying for us during our hard times and always willing to help with anything. I cannot afford to thank her as I think she deserves so I was hoping that you would help me by making her teacher of the week so she can be honored publicly. Thank you so much for your consideration as I think she deserves this very much!!"
