"I am nominating Mrs. Ashlee Myers, third grade teacher at Fannett-Metal Elementary for teacher of the week. When my daughter was diagnosed with Tourette's Syndrome, Mrs. Myers went above and beyond my expectations. She has helped my daughter feel comfortable about her tics and has helped ensure she has smooth days without being picked on. She has read up on the condition to try and understand how it impacts my daughter's life. My daughter's knowledge has grown significantly this year as Mrs. Myers pushes her to do their best resulting in my daughter having all A's and being on the High honor roll this marking period. She makes her feel proud of her achievements and it shows greatly in her behavior. Mrs. Myers has been the best teacher any mother could ask for especially when dealing with a child with a disability. I believe she truely deserves ths award for all her hard work."
