My daughter was having trouble adjusting to a new school last year, socially and academically. We were working with a therapist thinking it would help. After the first report card came home i went in or a parent teacher conference and was surprised to see the principal in the room. My worst thought was that Brooke was doing so bad that she needed to be there and to my surprise Mrs Hanks only wanted to focus on the positive things Brooke was doing. Mrs. Hanks goes above and beyond just being a principal! She knows all her students by name and works with lots of them and their families.She goes to events the school puts on and participates with the kids, she is amazing with them all.She even held a family dance night with a Dr Suess theme and came dressed up and was out on the floor dancing with the kids. We recently lost our Grandfather and were having a lot of financial problems when Brooke brought home a paper for a in school karate class. she was very upset when i told her we did not have the money, Today I got the call form Mrs. Hanks saying she had a spot for Brooke free of charge for the rest of the year! I think Mrs. Hanks is the best there is! Please consider her for teacher of the week!
