Bus Driver Gives Homeless Woman A Ride…And Her Shoes

CBS Sunday Morning has the story of a Minneapolis bus driver named Jayne Arendt-Verhelst, who saw a woman, apparently homeless, wandering in the middle of the street. She pulled over to let her on the bus, and noticed the woman didn’t have shoes on. So she broke a rule that says you can’t drive without shoes to give the woman the shoes off her own feet.

It was a small act of kindness noticed by another passenger who had experienced homelessness before.
